Authoring skeleton - not a student assignment

Three short topics

  1. Nodes, reference links, and list invariants.
  2. Insertion and traversal built from scratch.
  3. Empty, singleton, and multi-node tests.

PBL context

Compare AssignmentQueue’s ArrayLists with a student-built review-queue prototype. Start from the existing Collectable/linked-list examples, not java.util.LinkedList as the implementation.

Implementation layers to author

  • Node, head/tail, and insertion.
  • Traversal and size checks.
  • Advanced continuation: removal, iterator support, then stack/queue adapters in week 25.

Evidence checklist to author

Show head/tail correctness, preserved order, no lost nodes, and individual operation traces. Library use, basic implementation, and advanced continuation are distinct evidence levels.

Publication checklist

Complete exercises and checks before assigning courses.csa.week, removing draft/hide flags, or enabling submissions.
