Elements H+I (Iteration 2): Edge-Case & Comparative Testing
Week 21: Edge-Case & Comparative Testing
PLTW Elements H + I, Iteration 2 — Prototype Testing and Data Collection Plan; Testing, Data Collection, and Analysis, at production rigor.
Edge-Case, Load & Regulatory-Compliance Testing
- Go beyond the happy-path tests from Sprint 3. Test edge cases (malformed input, boundary values, unusual usage patterns), load (what happens under realistic concurrent usage or repeated stress), and regulatory compliance (Element F, Week 19 concerns, verified in practice).
- Write these as explicit test cases, not ad-hoc exploration, so they’re reproducible.
Record Data Against Revised PRD Targets
- Record results against the revised, industry-grade PRD (Element C, Iteration 2) — this is the real bar for the Capstone defense.
Comparative Data Analysis: Beta vs. Alpha
- Directly compare Beta results against your Sprint 3 Alpha data, metric by metric.
- This comparison — quantified improvement, not just “it’s better” — is a core piece of evidence for your Sprint 6 Capstone defense.
Core Deliverables
- Edge-case, load, and compliance test cases + results.
- Data recorded against the revised PRD.
- Beta-vs-Alpha comparative analysis.
